Not sure but think we have another travel on our hands. But it went in and looked good so it's OK.

its the American 2 step = take 2 steps, land on 2 feet(3rd step) and jump

seeing a little bit of it sneaking into games here but at least ours involves a pivot or 3 to confuse

he is on the run, catches the ball, takes two steps and releases. This is basic and all legit and it is time refs in this country - particularly Vic junior competition refs - learned this rule. Running man can take two steps upon catching the ball.

you dudes may wanna check the rule book.

Travel :

25:2:1 While moving:
? If one foot is touching the floor, that foot becomes the pivot foot. ? If both feet are off the floor and the player lands on both feet simultaneous-
ly, the moment one foot is lifted, the other foot becomes the pivot foot. ? If both feet are off the floor and the player lands on one foot, then that foot becomes the pivot foot. If a player jumps off that foot and comes to a stop
landing on both feet simultaneously, then neither foot is a pivot foot.

25:2:2 While moving: ? To pass or shoot for a field goal, the player may jump off a pivot foot and
land on one foot or both feet simultaneously. After that, one foot or both feet may be lifted from the floor but neither foot may be returned to the floor before the ball is released from the hand(s)

Thus if Bogut catches in mid-air he lands (pivot) can take one step and he cannot return the pivot to the floor!!! This is a travel, he takes control of the ball with his left foot on the ground, then takes two steps and returns his left foot to the floor. Walkies.

Those are the FIBA rules. Given this was an NBA game, perhaps quoting the NBA rules would give your arguement more credibility?
