Randy Bennett possible move - 36ers implications

If....Randy Bennett were to take the Utah Utes job as is being reported, there's always a chance Dellavedova or any of the Australian youngsters at St. Mary's could come back to Australia...given that Dave Patrick has also recently left the program, Adam Caporn (Graduate Assistant) would be the only member of the coaching staff with any Australian connection...if Adam were to go to Utah with Randy, the St. Mary's thing might just dry up...

Throw money at some of these...although Steindl and Young/Page wouldn't help the 36ers win now, Dellavedova would certainly help them next season...

Mitch Young - Finished Sophmore Year
Dellavedova - Finished Sophmore Year
Steindl - Finished Junior Year
Page - Finished Sophmore Year (was red-shirted w/injury, yes?)

Guards could be Carter/Bruce/Delly and Daly.

Adios Ng, Hill and maybe Herbert...

Why would we want 4 point guards and no shooting guards?

All 4 Aussie players at SMC would prove to be a valuable signing IF they were to elave the program early which I highly doubt they would.

Delly is a bonafide starting NCAA Div 1 starting guard, whilst Young is likely to be elevated to the starting 5 next season after a break out 2010/11 campaign.

With Page barely getting a run this season due to injury, one would think he too would like a chance to impress in Div 1 particulary given McConnell is a graduating senior and therefore a starying berth for next seaosn beckons. All 4 Aussies could be in their starting line up, although after a strong start to last season, Steindl trailed off badly and he could end up coming off the bench instead.

Certainly worth a push for Young and Delly though if they can be prised loose, but that is a big "if" IMO.

keep ya hands off Steindl - he's a NQ local!!! ;)

Hey DJ Rod, you can't keep them all up there!

On another note, you must be happy with seeing Jeromie Hill perform so well for UTSA. He has had a very impressive season and to perform so well in critical games even moreso.

Ok - deals off ;)

Isn't it funny how Perth ppl hated Schensh & even some Adel fans and now Gleeson is using him the way he should be, everyone wants him back :)

Jeromie Hill is killing it. We've been watching him very closely. He's not very well known here yet but the kid has a lot of talent and a big future!

Jeromie Hill is a great talent. DJ Rod has good eyes.

I watched him at the nationals held in Ballarat a few years ago he was the real deal.

Very smart and good athlete. Gone on with it in NCAA.

He's a good kid!!!
