GKcats, I hope Penney attracts all the attention. Double-team him at your peril.

Guys like Bruton, Wilkinson, Abercrombie, Braswell will just pick it up and kill you offensively.

Pick your poison.

Damian Martin deserves it. Still the best stopper in the NBL.

Looks like it was a two-horse race for the most part:

2010 Best Defensive Player Voting
Damian Martin (Perth) - 60
Mika Vukona (New Zealand) - 40
Brad Robbins (Perth) - 17
Adam Gibson (Gold Coast) - 14
Glen Saville (Wollongong) - 9
Tommy Greer (Melbourne) - 5
Peter Crawford (Townsville) - 5
Ian Crosswhite (Cairns) -3
Rosell Ellis (Townsville) - 3
Ronald Dorsey (Cairns) - 2
Julian Khazzouh (Sydney) -2
Mat Campbell (Wollongong) - 1
Dillon Boucher (New Zealand) - 1

Interestnig that the league's leading shot blocker didn't pick up a single vote, can't imagine that's ever happened before when blocked shots and steals (and to a lesser extent defensive rebounds) are the big statistical categories for this award.
