Ricky Henderson was recruited from an NBL pre season camp. The Crows saw how athletic he was, his beep test results, they got him to play a game of footy in a vic country league where he kicked 7 goals. Crows said thats enough and recruited him. Ricky wasnt even contemplating footy.

When he was telling the story about how Hardwick was putting out feelers and asking what sort of deal he was on etc, i couldn't help but picture Hardwick fulling off his seat, when he realized Joey is probably bringing in more $$$ in Barcelona than the golden boy, Gary Ablett at GCFC.

That's probably how much cash he is getting, but many Euro deals offer additional incentives like accommodation, travel etc.

Like LC said, in Euro it is about the total package.

& considering just his transfer fee alone from Granada in the ACB was 650,000Euro's ($900kAUS) i think his cash salary alone would be nice, let alone performance incentives, accom, car, and travel etc.

There's obviously a reason why great players decide to stay in europe over the cashed up NBA.
