Dwight Howard wins DPOY

Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic has been voted the 2010-11 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first player to ever win the award in 3 consecutive seasons.

Howard received 114 of a total of 120 first-place votes and accumulated 585 points.

Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett finished second with one first-place vote and 77 points while Dallas Mavericks center Tyson Chandler was third with 20 second-place votes and 70 points.

Anon, Awards are stat based; because that's the only true way you can judge most awards.

He's top 5 in blocks and Rebounding. He fills the lane up and is intimidating.

He's pretty much the Prototype for the modern day Centre IMO.

Bogut smogut. Howard is a superior player to Bogut on both ends of the floor. He deserves this award.

Howard is like Bosh - "fake tough".

Great when he's playing on guys with lesser profiles, but when the blowtorch gets applied he's not great.
