Dwight Howard wins DPOY
Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic has been voted the 2010-11 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first player to ever win the award in 3 consecutive seasons.
Howard received 114 of a total of 120 first-place votes and accumulated 585 points.
Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett finished second with one first-place vote and 77 points while Dallas Mavericks center Tyson Chandler was third with 20 second-place votes and 70 points.
The article on ESPN.com mentions that one of the voters for the award did not vote for Howard on their voting ballot.
