and also said he loves it in Townsville and is trying to get the same group back again, but did say one of the reasons he was in Townsville was Trevor Gleeson...

The door is open for him to stay and I really hope he does, i'm just not confident.

Well done Clarke you dumb unit!! Luke wanted to be a 6er, the verbal had been made and you retracted....As if your coaching wasnt bad enough and embarrassing enough this season, one last kick in your shins!

Having said that, well done to a very good SA basketball player made good!

They could afford him. Had a contract to him and then retracted for a few reasons. Might not have been able to run two imports and could've left us with weaknesses elsewhere, but we could have got him.

If they get him back now, it would not be as cheap as they could've got him then.

Yeah Clarke wanted to run with the likes of Winder and Devries and Howard. Word was that DJ had been over promised court time and Schenscher wouldve slowed down the tempo. The $$ wasnt the issue at all. Clarke started burrying his NBL career at that point, before the first jump ball...FACT.

You can make it happen, but you cant have as many role players as Adelaide had this year, the more stars you want the more rookies/dead weight you need at the end of the bench.

There was never a contract on the table for Luke.
Agree on the roll players Paul, maybe the coach showed too much empathy for loyalty, but i would of done the same in his situation i think, what would of happened if he cut some guys and got the same result?
