Australian U17 Men's Squad Named

Basketball Australia have announced a 15-man Australian U17 squad following the camp held over Easter.

15 players chosen for Men's U17 National Men's squad

Here is the squad:

Felix VAN HOFE — VIC Metro
Nicholas DUNCAN — NSW Metro
Siatua SOLAESE — NSW Metro
Archie SMITH — QLD South
Cade TOWERS — QLD South
Darcy MALONE — ACT
Fabijan KRSLOVIC — NSW Metro

Head coach: Guy Molloy

Looks like a good squad to me. At least they cut the over representation of underperforming players from QLD. They should at least add another SA to the team.

KFBEAR - who else from SA would you add? There is nobody else at that level amongst our current crop of bottom age 18s.

Australia are currently touring China and have opened their tour with three tough wins in a row.

Defeated China 84-78 in OT.
Nick Duncan 14 points & 11 rebounds, Felix von Hofe 15 points & 10 rebounds, and Jack Purchase 10 points & 5 rebounds.

Defeated Voerlose Denmark 77-72.
Dante Exum 16 points and Josh Derksen 12 points.

Defeated Lithuania 83-76.
Michael Luxford 19 points, Ben Simmons 11 points & 8 rebounds.

defeated China 82-81.
Duncan 21 & 11, Exum 14, Djeric 13, Simmons 10 & 5.

lost to Lithuania 75-85.
Duncan 20 & 7, Exum 17. Purchase & Luxford missed with injury.

defeated Denmark 77-66.
Exum 20, Dekson 20, Duncan 10 & 10.

lost to China 62-70.
