a clear no - he is very much a role player who now only useful for limited minutes
maybe needs to reinvent his game

I dont see why not, in the ABL he is a good scorer and rebounded. If Marty starts to use his ability to score as well as defend and rebound then perhaps he would become a more valuable player to the team.

Obviously they decided near season end that they wanted to try someone different than Jacob and others that have left except maybe Carter.
Jacob been good worker for club but obviously looking for someone with a bit more upside in scoring .
So unless we cant sign any of those alternatives I cant see Sixers giving Jacob a contract this coming season

While Jacob is arguably pound-for-pound one of the best Rebounders in the league, his ability to score doesn't transition over to the NBL level.

If he was to get 15-20 shots per game, he'd probably be a 20-10 guy without issue; but he plays on a team with better shooters and because of that, he won't get that many shots.

Definately a man who would define a career as a rebounder, but nothing more. He'll always be a role player off the bench at best.
