Morphett Vale

Was down at Morphett Vale during the week. BSA appear to be undoing their own good work, bring the Stadium up to scratch with the NEW floors now they are headed back to dim dark days as most Scoreboard/clocks appear to be broken.

Court 1 - Using a old school Manual Flip Scoreboard with some hand timer.
Court 2 - Using some CD Player converted into a Scoreboard that shows the Game Clock and Scores but No Siren as if you have the Sound On it Cheers for Team A and Boos for Team B. Just looked really stupid.
Court 3 - Shock horror was actually working.
Court 4 - Appeared to work but from what I heard they had been having issues early in the night and on a regular basis.

What are they going to do with Junior District? Only 1 maybe 2 Courts with Clock/Scoreboards working but only one of those has Shot Clocks.

Surely BSA isn't going to let the Stadium get rundown after the place was looking like the 3rd best BSA stadium.

they get a lot of wear and tear (maybe beyond reasonable use ?) and there is nothing more frustrating than a broken scoreboard - would we play with a broken ring ? or no lines on the court ?

they seem very temperamental - not just morphett vale I seem to recall most stadiums have had scoreboard problems at sometime.

would be a great opportunity for a local business / electrician to put something on the table for the BSA hierarchy to peruse.

How many stadiums have shot clocks that work? How many have scoreboards you can see from any vantage spot or that work regularly? How many courts have the right markings? How many stadiums are like westies where to shoot three's you have to stand in the next suburb?
Southern is far from the 3rd best stadium but it is right up there as the most inhospitable.

The roof leaks at m/vale and is a law suit waiting to happen, the water is affecting the floor boards and allowing roller skating in them isn't real smart either!!!

Starplex is a multi purpose venue. No basketball stadium should have courts built that hard.

So even starplex it's issues.
