a comment in another thread got me thinking of all the short guards that have been through the NBL.
Thought I would make a list, feel free to add ones i have missed. By short i mean 6' or less. some i will mention claim to be bigger.

Ricky Grace one of the best point guards ever in the NBL was 6'1 I think that can join the list.
Warren can be the nbl version of bugsy moges or that guy who plays for the Bucks!!!!

Another ex-NBA bust. I think I'm happier to have a guy straight from college this year than another ex-NBAer like Blalock, Storey, Green, Brown, Hawkins, Gilder or Muursepp. Maybe the college guys know they have to improve and dnt make the mistake of thinking they are too good.

Funny thing about Barea is that he is 5"9 but he is listed as 6" on NBA.com and that

Gordie McLeod and the best of all those listed Doug Overton. Although Doug's better work was to come after he left the NBL and played many years in the NBA. Think Grace and Al Green were over 6ft.

p.s. for those that might not get it, back in the 60s when the Celtics were virtually invincible, coach Red Auerbach would let his opponents know when he thought the game was over by lighting his victory cigar.

Darren Perry, Ron Radliff, Roy Wood (not sure - I remember him seeming less than 6 feet tall), Brendan Joyce, Gordy McLeod. I reckon these were probably less than 6 feet but I'm not sure - Mick Corkeron, Matt Shanahan, Mark Gaze, Mike Ellis, Eric Watterson, Brendan Joyce, Gordy McLeod etc.

Oh - and how tall were Darren Lucas and Joe Hillman? I think Lucas was over 6 feet but I can't remember clearly with Hillman. He only played the one season and not for the 6ers so I didn't see him much.

A lot of guys mentioned are actually a little over 6'0 (Corletto and Bruce are 6'3) but I guess in basketball terms they are 'short'.
Surprised Luke Martin hasnt been mentioned.
