Maybe DJ's ego could fill the spot?

Apparently there are a few young Aussies coming to town this week to try out for the remaining Aussie position...

Rumour is they will sign an Aussie big man, so my guess is the import spot will be a SF/PF.

We already have a one small forward in the Boomers squad going away, and another small forward in the baby Boomers, so why would we get an import SF ?

Last 2 spots have to go to post players,
big import post supposedly was going to be announced by now,
with the impending big man try out camp to fill the last spot on the bench.

Strong, McFarlin & Jeffers from SEABL coming to trail this week.

I wouldn't mind either of them as they would be solid recruits especially McFarlin as I really like his game!

Guess it depends if there is much $$ in the kitty and if management really think we are a title tilt this year...maybe we should save some $$ until Creek/DJ develop then look to really lock n load with some gun imports!

I popped in , next door.
Reason being - looked like Patrick walking in.
Nothing happening , on court.
Might've been a player that looks like Patrick
Not sure?

So those names that were mentioned as training, who are they?? Seabl imports? Aussie players? The 6ers need to spend on one marquee import, or the turnouts will drop, title favourites or not.

Strong (Knox), McFarlin (Bendigo) & Jeffers (Canberra) = SEABL imports

Cam McCallum = 6'10 22y.o Aussie from Nicholl State playing for Ballarat

Tim Lang training as well. Was solid with the Tigers 2 seasons ago when Anstey was injured.

Mcfarlin is an undersize athletic hustle big. Maybe 6"6 putting up huge rebounding numbers in Seabl
Jeffers is bigger maybe 6'9 or 6'10 and long. Much more raw in terms of skills but big and strong. Putting up decent numbers for Canberra.

Lester strong is an import for Knox. He is about 6'8 and pretty muscular who loves to throw down a dunk. He played with Worthington and Kendall in college for Metro State. Has limited range but is pretty good from the low post. Must be close to being naturalised as has played for about 4 or 5 years in BigV/SEABL leagues now.

Tim Lang should be signed as an Aussie. He is killing the SEABL league and did OK last season in the German league. Kilsyth have barely lost a game since he returned late after his german stint. It wouldnt surprise me is his Cobra teammate Auryn McMillan tried out as well but heard he has been linked to the Tigers.
