NBA files lawsuit against players

Yep, this should help.

Trying to head off the chance of an antitrust lawsuit from the NBA Players Association, the league went ahead and beat the union to court.

The NBA filed two claims against the NBPA on Tuesday -- an unfair labor practice charge with the National Labor Relations Board and a lawsuit in federal district court in New York.

The NBA accused the players of being uncooperative in negotiations toward a new collective bargaining agreement by making "more than two dozen" threats to dissolve their union and sue the league under antitrust laws to secure more favorable terms in a new CBA.

Surely though the Salary cap is the only thing that keeps it as a sport and not having it lost completely to the world of big business where money is everything and the big get bigger and the strong get either left by the way side or swallowed up?

Who wants to see a 4 team NBA where the rich clubs have all the talent and play each ther every weekend for pre arranged results depending on which company wants which result?

How can salary capped sports be the problem?

The Lakers spent almost twice as much as Sacramento o players last year.

Lakers just fork out cash every season to the other franchises as "Luxury Tax", doesn't make the other franchises profitable though.
