JAYCO OPALS STAR LAUREN JACKSON SIGNS MULTI-YEAR DEAL WITH SEATTLE STORM IN THE WNBA

Australian basketball superstar and captain of the Jayco Australian Opals Lauren Jackson has signed a new three-year deal with WNBA club the Seattle Storm today, solidifying her commitment to the club she has called home in America since making her debut in the WNBA in 2001.

Last year's WNBA MVP and Finals MVP has missed much of the current season due to a hip injury. But after leading her team to the WNBA Championship, factoring in all her personal accolades, the club have shown their loyalty to Jackson, who still has many years of basketball ahead of her.

Seattle Storm head coach and director of player personnel Brian Agler was excited by the announcement.

"Clearly, Lauren Jackson is one of, if not the best, player in the world," Agler told the Seattle media. “She has been and will continue to be a critical part of the success of our basketball team. We want to keep her here in Seattle for a long time."
