Hoops FBL Draft - Elite League

Draft begins at 9am. Below is the draft order and the Final Player List. Anyone new player signed to a team is not able to be drafted. You will need to try and sign them as a free agent after the draft.

I will update the player list below each day with remaining players left.

Please check this thread as often as you can and I will also sms you when your pick comes up (if you have supplied a mobile no.)

Once a pick is made, the next person has 12 hours to make their selection. If 12 hours passes without them making a selection, the next person may then take their turn and the person who has missed may make their selection at anytime.

Good Luck.

So you say X... The risk of dropping down 3 picks right now wasn't worth the reward later IMO. Lisch is a nice safe pick for my starting guard. Too many of the others have big boom/bust potential at this point in the draft! (See Winder, Craig and the demise of Beantown's Badgers last season!)

I like the look of Bose, but he is in a logjam at SF for Sydney with Dann, Gynes and Ratzsch. Gonna be interesting to see if a couple of them make the position their own, or if they each drift in and out of favour through the season.

Tovey did most of his damage last year with Redhage in the team anyway I think. I'm more worried about the addition of Nevill pushing Knight/Redhage down and stealing minutes that way. Yeah Rush being available would've made it a tough call but I'm happy with Toves this late.

I'm saying Skip and X are joint favourites just to counter any bad juju ;-)

I was a bit surprised when Lockie and DB5 went for Hudson and Warren so early! I secretly had hopes of nabbing Warren, but after last season I just wasn't willing to risk one of my early picks on him. Haven't seen or heard anything of Hudson thus far - what do you know that I don't Lockie?!?!

There was a big run on centres early. I remember freaking out because 8 centres were taken before I got my second pick! Was pretty thankful to land Crosswhite in the end, though I hadn't originally planned on taking him again because of his injuries last season and this pre-season.

Stats got a beautiful start to the draft getting Redhage and Wilko in the first two rounds!

I just feel a bit for Corletto, with all the crap he has had to endure this off season and then TR drafts him, I hope he has his insurance cover paid up! :)

Happy to give Tyson Demos to Beantown, Lockie or DB5 for Lewis/Campbell/C.Cedar if any of you can offer me a little something. Think he's a little cut above those three guys and I won't be needing him anyway.

My predictions for this season:

Ubaka does a knee in round 2. Gone for the season

Grant pops out his shoulder in round 8 and gets sent home.

Khazzouh gets the shits after Sydney snags Bogut and heads to Europe.

Conehead tests positive for illicit substances and is suspended for the season.

McPeake sends in debt collectors looking for Corletto. Corletto suddenly vanishes of the face of the earth (I wouldn't pay the guy back either).

You watch... I'll get bitten on the arse again this season.

Some pretty even teams. I think getting Redhage and Wilkinson with two early picks is pretty remarkable, plus R Martin may play a lot more than people expect, but some of Statman's other picks could go either way. Not sure how the stats system will go for Hill, though he will get his shots up, and is Petrie even coming back on schedule - inside knowledge there I hope? Wouldn't Goulding cop it a bit for being a volume shooter?

Yep, Grabau is fine... He'll be getting splinters anyway.

Agree Isaac - Hill was picked mainly from what I saw at the pre season tournament - he looked better than the box score showed and had a few unlucky rolls that dropped his percentages so if he can hit at a better clip he will be good. Still a fairly bug risk though

Petrie won't be playing big minutes straight away but he us back in full training and looks super fit, again could go either way

Goulding though - look out for a great season from him!

Is it just random that the Grand Finalists from last year don't play each other to the last game of each round of matchups?

Um, I think It's actually just the same draw as last year.
