Basketball size for women

My wife wants to start playing basketball again.

She is asking me what size ball (leave the jokes aside LOL) she should or needs to buy.

Is it one size below the mens?

Need a quick answer if anyone can help

Women use size Six,Its lighter and smaller ,and its a FIBA rule.

Size 6, 28.5 inches is what women use.

Size 5 Juniors up to Under 10, then Size 6 for Women and Size 7 for Men ..... I believe.
