NBL salary cap probe gives all clear

NBL SALARY CAP PROBE GIVES CLUBS ALL-CLEAR

The National Basketball League Commission has completed its salary cap audit of the teams that finished in the top four last season and has found no evidence of salary cap breaches.

The NBL Commission determined midway through last season that whichever teams finished in the top four following the conclusion of the 2010/11 iiNet NBL Championship regular season would undergo a salary cap audit.

Accordingly, the New Zealand Breakers, Perth Wildcats, Townsville Crocodiles and Cairns Taipans all were visited by the NBL's salary cap auditor, Tom York, in recent months to have their financial records scrutinised for any irregularities.

NBL Commission Chairman Justin Milne wrote to all nine NBL teams today to confirm that no evidence of any salary cap breaches had been uncovered during the course of the audit.

The Commission has flagged that in the 2011/12 season the NBL Commission intends to vary the timing of the salary cap audit and it may well be split into two or more parts.

Club, did you cheat?
Nope.
Sweet.

Very good advisor obviously.
We had one who could make money "disappear" but it all came back to burn him.
