Brad Newley is moving to Spain!

Brad Newley is moving to Spain after agreeing to terms on a contract with Valenci until the end of this current season.

Brad Newley started the season with Lietuvos Rytas. He tallied 3.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 steal per game in Euroleague Qualifying Round. In VTB League Brad Newley posted 2.4 points and 3.2 rebounds. The Aussie also notched 4.5 points and 3.4 boards per game in LKL.

Newley joins fellow Aussie AJ Ogilvy on Valencia's roster. Let's hope a new team can allow him to rediscover his form...

The move to Spain to should be just what is needed to reinvigorate Newley's game. Hopefully he can get some good playing time in the lead-up to the Olympics.

Good move for Newley. This way, when he rides the pine, at least he'll have a fellow Boomer for company :(

Hoping my pessimism is unfounded, of course, for both players.

phil - what Newley really needs to find is his jumpshot. He left it in Beijing sometime around 2008 and it hasn't been spotted since.

Moved to a tougher competition. Ron Dorsey and Derrick Low were stars in the Lithuanian league. Hope Newley gets a chance with Valencia, think he will as they wouldnt have bothered buying out his contract otherwise.

Ogilvy rode the pine for Valencia when they brought in Tiago Splitter...when Splitter departed back to the NBA, Ogilvy moved back into the starting lineup before he went down with an injury.
