Corletto in Great Britain's 18-man Olympic squad

What a season for Corletto. Picked up by the reigning champs, averaging 12+ PPG and now shortlisted for an Olympic spot.

There's some water to pass under the bridge yet, but the in-form Corletto yesterday confirmed he had made it as far as Great Britain's 18-man squad which will be whittled down to 12 for the Games.

Corletto, a born and bred Melburnian, has a British passport and qualifies via his parents who were both born there. At this stage he's not sure how firm his prospects are for the Olympics, but he knows he's in with a shot.

Wow - good on him!

And before anyone goes making comparisons for Kyrie Irving to play for Australia, remember that Irving hasalso represented USA in a FIBa sanctioned event...that should he wish to play for Oz would require USA Basketball's approval and for that to be ratified by FIBA.

Corletto is an Australian citizen who is eligible to play for Great Britain because of his parents "Aint no G"
