Has anyone seen Martin Iti play this season?

I saw Martin Iti perform really well during pre-season, he was rebounding, blocking shots and backing up Khazzouh as the high post option. Does anyone know why he isnt being used these days? He is a consistent starter/scorer and rebounder in the NZBL.

He was 6ft 9 at 14 and only grew 2 inches since, didn't grow as big as one wouldve thought.

His stats were pretty decent in Holland, dunno how good that league is though.

I've seen him train in Sydney a lot this year. He can be a good back up a the 5, but will never be the man in the middle so to speak.
Still, can block some shots & get some nice tip ins. Moose just wasn't that high on him. Not sure if Heal is either.

If only there was mid season trading in the NBL. Wouldn't have minded seeing him down in Melbourne providing some help for Trig!

You say that as if there is a possibility that anybody would make a deal that could help Tigers.

They didn't even start either Tragardh or Burston last game.

Thought he might recruit over him, but to ditch him altogether is a bit more than that. Could impact Johnson's chances of raising his salary this off-season.

Not sure of Davidson's status in Wollongong.

been to most kings games this season and only seen him play significantly once. he didnt look too bad even had a nice dunk. thought there was big wraps on him preseason but just got no time.

hopefully he gets resigned or picked up by another team and gets some minutes so we can see if he can actually play

Get rid of Gleeson if he is trying to get rid of the MVP... Gleeson is a disease

Gleeson from all reports just goes to town on the players after a loss and sticks the knife in where possible and it is really starting to effect the core playing group!

Anyone think to ask the real reason why Trigger would start on the bench so Tim Lang can get a start! What a joke!

maybe he's giving the bench players one more chance to show him why he shouldn't cut them.

He'd be nuts to get rid of Trigger unless he had someone special lined up to replace him.

In Cairns Trigger played 30 mins & didn't take 1 rebound. He was benched for lack of effort & bad body language. He & Gleeson obviously clash. Bad year all round for the Tigers!!

So Iti got a lot more minutes tonight (I'd wager more than his previous game total? lol) and he did ok... Some silly things (like fouling out) that you'd expect from a player with hardly any game time this season, but he pulled down a few really strong boards, got a nice block... It's a shame that he hasn't been brought along sort of like NZ did with Pledger... He was just a giant guy when he first started playing, but now he's become a danger to a lot of teams...

Just a shame he didn't get more of a chance earlier on...
