Mavs dump Odom; Barkley says he deserves nothing
After taking him on in the wake of the Lakers' abandoned play at Chris Paul, the Dallas Mavericks have DNPed Lamar Odom for the duration of the season.
The Mavs finally had enough of Odom's sulking, lack of effort and habitual tardiness and banished him from the team Sunday, less than 24 hours after a heated halftime confrontation where owner Mark Cuban questioned Odom's commitment.The Mavs are left paying out the remainder of Odom's contract:
Odom, who averaged career lows in almost every category, will make almost $1 million the rest of the season and is due a $2.4 million buyout payment in June.Charles Barkley has come out saying it's a joke that the Odom is due those payments, given such behaviour.
