Tallest player at local/regional level?

Would be interested to here who the tallest players are and how tall they are at your local/area level. Surely there must be quite a few 7 footers or ever taller?

There's a baller at Ringwood who's 6'3 but got mad hops, loves taking it to the rack. Height means nothing, a pimp is a pimp.

@Coach Roach, Mitchell Mott from Mount Gambier is 7ft 1".

But slow! Ric was a TIS guy, went to AIS but came back due to injury!

He barely played at 20's and looked out of shape?

He can hit the 3 and has good aggression but needs to get fit again!!

Twice the player Harris was at same age

Anyone know of any new relatively undiscovered 7 footers playing in local comps? WHO CAN ACTUALLY PLAY ?????

Over the thinking you need to be a TALL to play great ball

You need a SHORT ( 6ft'2 3 4 5 6 ) to get the ball to your TALLS......

Anyone who's 7 foot and "undiscovered" isn't "undiscovered". They've just been discovered as being rubbish :)

Ditto to above

Think that is what previous Anon meant when they stated " and who can play"

You guys, seriously though just take time to go and watch u/18 Nationals each year and you will spot them. Some get discovered there or start to really get looked at from 16 years old and on.

I am sure every state and the Kiwis will have at least one kid around 6' 10" or above. Oh, and I am sure they can play...

The likelihood of an unknown, talented 7ft + person that can run and chew gum at the same time would be approx 0.00001%

Every kid with height has been asked if they play basketball several times a week before they finish primary school. Most eventually play at some level and if they show any sort of ability are progressed through junior development programs quickly.

Anstey showed that you can come via another sport (tennis) and develop basketball skills at a late age.

Wade Helliwell comes to mind as a player to come from nowhere at a late age and have a professional career.

Jawai coming from Banaga could have easily not been spotted although he was sent to boarding school.
