Bobcats worst record in NBA history, axe coach

...finished 7-59 this season for the worst winning percentage in league history (.106).
And Coach Paul Silas has been dumped.
Higgins said Silas' son, Stephen Silas -- who served as an assistant under his father and led the team in several games -- will be interviewed for the job, but added finding someone with head coaching experience "is important."

"We want someone who wants to win," Higgins said. "That's the main quality. We will have quite a few candidates. I would say there are quite a few people who come into mind."

Jordan is destroying this team but weren't a whole lot better under Bob Johnson.

The Bobcats were a mistake.

The Bobcats had an open training session and scrimmage prior to the start of the season where Paul Silas spoke of the good young players that they had recruited but who were going to face a tough time in the early years as they gained experience. He was aware then of how weak they would be and quite up front about it. It's a bit rich to now sack a coach who had all of his experienced players traded and then left to teach the kids because of lack of success.

Axing is the wrong word, Silas actually said he was going to retire at the seasons end anyway, and is still going to work within the Bobcats organisation.

The Brad its getting old. If the 6ers recruit accordingly youll be the first to jump on that Marty bandwagon.

Silas even had his son coach a few games this season as experience for him... seems they knew it was bleak very VERY early on in Charlotte.

Dunking Machine Ismail Muhammad who is not playing in NZ led the SEABL in scoring and tried out twice for the Bobcats, got very close but no cigar yet!

Maybe they need to look at guys who have a good track record of winning and also can entertain the crowd at the same time?

Rome wasn't built in a day I guess...

Think they are at least 2 years away from being relevant. Biyombo is even worse than they thought, and it will take a while to get him to a decent level. Bet they wish they had drafted Faried now instead, he is the next Wallace
