Injuries force Johnson and Creek from Boomers camp

Injury has forced Australian Boomers rising stars Daniel Johnson and Mitch Creek to withdraw from the national team squad and as a result next week's camp in Perth.

Johnson, who has come off a break-out season in the NBL with the Adelaide 36ers, had an MRI yesterday to determine the cause of pain he was experiencing in his ankle. The scan revealed that he has some bruising and other minor damage which will require set skills training under the watchful eye of the medical staff.

Creek, also a member of the Adelaide 36ers team as well as the 2011 Australian Emus U19s team that competed in the FIBA U19 World Championship, has been experiencing strong back pain and is on specialised rehabilitation work.
