Been known for a while that he was going to be back at the Tigers...D-Mac gotta lok after his boy...plus only Gold Coast we slightly interested so it was Tigers or nothing.

Really after watching him this year can't see how this guy is in the NBL but hey guess it pays to have friends.

Every team needs a guy who rides the pine. Guess they tink with his body type anything could happen and maybe he'd some how turn into a baskteball player, and the coaches would look good for getting a contributor for so little. Either way, the Tigers will be woeful in 12/13.

He's slowly learning to shoot from outside, but needs to muscle up a bit as well.

Otherwise, he'll never have the ball skills to be a guard or the muscle to be a SF. Good enough to dominate lower leagues but never quite up to NBL.

He didnt shoot the ball well last year but no one really did for the Tigers. He gives them a perimeter threat, a Tigers junior (?) and a long open court athlete on the wings, which Anstey likes. But surely he must be on his last chance to actually produce rather than just promise.

Not sure why he is mentioned as an outside threat? have you broken down his 3% in both NBL & ABA over the last 2 years...it really is pretty poor.

Big V - 2011 3P% 27.3 - 2012 3P% 27.3
NBL Career - 3P% 31.9

Most teams are gonna be happy to let a 6'9 athlete stand and ping away from deep when with his body he really should be bulking up and acting the rim...then again i guese he probably has been learning from Ron Dorsey!

He hit 35% in the NBL two seasons ago, last year was poor. But he can definitely shoot it, he needs to show that consistently this season or his chance will surely pass.

#paul - You really should use the word "pass" when refering at all to Bennie Lewis!

He isn't an effective shooter at the level below....the new 3pt line really hurt his shooting %

Im not sure it was the new line because he shot well the first year it was in. He is very streaky and you are right, he has never seen a shot he didnt like and that becomes a real issue when you are off, ala Drew Williamson.
