Webber Trade in Hindsight

Is it just me or did both Philly and Sacramento get worse after the trade of Webber? Do they still need more time to settle in?

I think Sacramento got better - when they all players available they look good. But you do wonder if they would be doing better with C-Webb there.

The 76ers have gone through Jerry Stackhouse, Keith Van Horn, Glenn Robinson & now Chris Webber in trying to find someone who Iverson can play with. It just doesn't seem to work and I think Webber will be out of Philadelphia pretty soon, because the 76ers management will move him in yet another attempt to find a partner for Inverson. Iverson is a great player, but he sure seems to struggle finding teammates and coaches that he can co-exist with.

Shit sorry guys pressed enter by mistake and went back 2 reload the page and i pressed enter again. Its been a long day my mate was stuck in a lift 4 3hours so its been a long day.

Anyways i do believe that Philly are always trading to find someone that will work with iverson, but C-Webb only played 21 games with a whole new team with a different style of play.

Kings and Philly are to different teams and it will take awhile to get used to it. You cant just chuck a player into a team needing assistance and expect results straight away.

We should be seeing some improvements from Philly next year. Hopefully philly can grab someone that can clean the boards. Dalembert has done a awsome job this year but he could use some help.

I think it will take some time for iverson to adjust to playing with a scoreing power forward... All the second scores philly have tried to get have been small forwards ... which hasnt worked... if iverson and webber can gel next sesason watch out ... in the weak eastern confernece they could make some serious noise ... they have good role players in Indgola ( how ever u spell it ) and green ... but there are major questions marks over the geling of iverson and webber

Maybe they need a role player in the forward spot - imagine how well a denis rodman or ben wallace would fit in

Or even a passing centre - maybe they should have gone for Brad Miller instead of Webber

Webber is a passing centre. He's one of the best passing big men around. Iverson should see him as an opportunity to score more, not a threat to his shot attempts.

What the thedoctor,

Webber is a power forward. Yes he is a good passer but he doesnt defend the perimeter. He ss lazy in rotations and would rather catch and shoot than set screens for Hogerson. That and the fact that he is a sookk-la-la playing in the toughest city in pro sports means that when he suck's and the crowd boo him. He will only get worse.

iverson cant find teammates...what game have you guys been watching....he avareged 8 assists a game while taking the scoring title with nobody else on the team a threat to score 20 a night. webber didnt do bad because of iverson...he did bad because he has messed up knees and cant get off the ground more than five inches to shoot shots....he is afraid of contact at this point of his career....he pops off a pick to take a not so reliable jump shot instead of rolling to the basket and getting baskets banging inside...they are going to be fine if webber gets his legs back and iguodala develops a jumper...

Denzel,

I totally agree with you about Webber's hops, he's got none and that is the sole reason for he's lack of performance. When he realises that he needs to fill a role for his team and not be the a star he'll be happy.
