USA National Team v Brazil

1st quarter just started, Brazil off to great start..US having trouble matching up and defending, Kobe and Chandler with some cheap hooks that go unnoticed by refs. Good pick and roll offense by Brazil. should be a good game and test for the US

4 minutes left in the 1st quarter

Brazil 17

USA 7

Brazil playing great team basketball, nene, Splitter, Barbosa, Marcelinho & Alex Garcia

Garcia playing great, couple of three, great layups.. very fast talented player the fact he only spent a couple of seasons in the NBA is surprising.

Brasil!!

Brazil taken the foot off this quarter

USA up by 5

USA 37
Bra 32

The US has made the comeback by stepping up D, getting away with some cheap fouls, and alley oops and layups/dunks. still no shots dropping for the US.
the way the US is acting it is as if they are up by 100. Brazil led them by 10 at the qtr but just went about it, didn't celebrate. USA team seem to forget how many shots they miss.knobs..the Shortcommings of 'Superstars' game is on show in International basketball, Lebron doesn't have a post up game only scores on layups, and Kobe doesn't get bailed out on bad shots by the refs.

Can't believe Kobe thought this team had any chance against the 92' USA dream team.

Will be interesting to see a game like this being played in the Olympics. Calls are very different to the nba, plus no home court advantage!

Brazil with 15 Turn-overs at the half to the USA 5 is far too many..Brazil gave a lot of the PG minutes to their 2nd & 3rd backup PG a 19 y/o and Larry Charles in the 2nd quarter which resulted in a lot of the turnovers.

Commentators are annoying..how many times does mark (a commentator) need to mention the other commentators name 'fran'...who else could he be talking to?

Why is Carmello on the team again?? He seems to be playing no d as he's complaining to the refs.

The commentators think Brazils guard Marcelinho Huertas might be nearly as good as Jeremy Lin..wow what a compliment..Huertas is FC Barcelona starting PG he is clearly better than Lin, more comparable to Nash in his ability to run a team.

Great game by the Brazilians. Lebron really stepped up in the second half, was the best player for team USA.

69 to 80 from what I saw... that is a worry for Australia!

I think Brazil has underachieved in major events, outside of their regional championships, for many years. Maybe this Olympics -- their first Olympics in 16 years -- will be a breakthrough for them.

Don't see why/how it took this game for people to worry about Brazil.

They were always going to be a huge threat, and they always will be.

Nene, Varejoa, Barbosa, Nene and Huertas(Huertas can really play, nice PG)

I am not surprised by Brazil at all. They are a very good team.

Well i hope its not a breakthrough for them because we need to beat them to have any realistic chance, or we will need to beat Russua

Don't like our chances of beating Brazil...from what I just saw. Hate to be negative though.

OK so Australia has no chance of beating Spain and Russia. Great Britain and Russia will also be hard to beat and China could suprise us. Wouldn't be suprised if we don't progress past the group stage.

Very Very negative take on things Anonymous...

It seems Australia shines when there expected to do nothing, and stagnate when there expected to succeed..

Til the games are played nothing is know but the game vs spain should let us know what league were really in... were yet to be truly 'tested' yet and for all you know we could rise to the occasion or crumble

USA team has no traditional centres playing, so any team with NBA level 7 footers may test them, Brazil has those types of players so if AUS want to beat them they will have to do it using our bigs against theirs, the old fashion way.

Is the USA trying to trend set, or are they just foxing to make it interesting until the big dance?

Full US-Brazil game on YouTube. Not sure how long it'll last before it's pulled down, so watch it while you can.
