He didn't get many minutes with BC Khimki, but the club must have some money to splash around even for its bench players, because I can't imagine Nielsen or any import wanting to play in Russia unless the money was worth it. (no offense intended to any russian natives its just that their are more appealing places for foreigner to live in Europe than russia..ive been their and it gets very unpleasant during winters).

Does any know how much the contract was for? I understand he signed a 1.8 Million Euro 2 year deal with greek club Olympiacos back in 2010, i imagine his price has slid a little since then.

Second year of his two year deal isn't it?

Correct, MN always had a second year on his deal, I guess this is just the team confirming that they're not cutting him :)

Khimki just took over the Olympiacos contract and added an option year.

So he makes €900,000 euros net income. Which makes him by far one of the most overpaid players in Europe. That's a ton of money to spend on a third string PF.
