Basketball Shooting Coach in Adelaide

Just wondering if there are any coaches in Adelaide that are specialist / shooting coaches who offer individual sessions? (Juniors 14-16 years)

Please only serious answers - names

^^ years ago I bought the dvds from here http://www.betterbasketball.com

I'm not affiliated with the product or anything, but I recommend the shooting dvd. I've used the techniques on the kids i've coached and i've used it myself. if you can't find a coach, i'd give the above a try :)

I have done a bit of specialised shooting coaching with individuals and squads.

I also have the Swish 1 and 2 DVD;s and the Better Basketball DVD.

I could help out with a session and lend you the DVD's.

Are you looking for a coach to teach them technique or put them through some paces with a program....or both?

If they are wondering why sometimes their shots go in and sometimes they don't , lay down on the floor and shoot upwards , and if it's not coming down straight
it's their action.

Laying down on the floor and shooting upwards would result in a horizontal "at the ring" shot if one used that action in normal shooting, something you don't want.

Agreed Dennis, sitting down in a chair and shooting it short range against a wall is slightly better in practicing arm, wrist ball spin technique but ultimately individual technique coaching and continued revisiting and solid repetition. Start close to ring and moving away is one style, players should shoot 1-2 ft and step back towards the arc each make, step forward on a miss and keep moving till outside 3 and even then for strength conditioning should get solid technique up to 2-3 ft back from 3pt line.

Problem is how long how often? hardest part of developing a training schedule

What area are you in, wanting training in?
I know someone who is currently studying at the institute of fitness and wants to focus on basketball training, particularly juniors as individuals and clubs. As he is still studying he may do it for experience and advertising (e.g. no cost)? if you want to pass on your details I can give you his email address and you can get in contact with him?
