U/14 Girls Australian Club Championships

With under 3 weeks until the championships kick off in Morphett Vale, thought it would be good to kick off some conversation about the tournament.

Who are the biggest threats from each state?

NSW - Illawarra
WA - Wanneroo
TAS - Southern Tas
VIC - Hawthorn
QLD - Logan
SA - Forrestville
NT - Darwin
ACT - Canberra

norths better than illawarra from nsw

illawaarra are big, not overly talented & ive seen them train its pretty poor

norths may have a chance of going top 4, but i doubt the winner is coming from nsw was a weak age group this yr

Best part about being a tournament, and the way its structure, means that any team can win it.

Going on results from the Queens Bday Classic in Melbourne, looks like it will be a good battle between the teams from VIC and SA.

Teams going who played at the Classic finished in:

2nd - Melbourne
3rd - Sturt
4th - Dandenong
5th - Knox
6th - Forrestville
7th - Central Districts
10th - Hawthorn
11th - Norths
12th - Geelong
13th - Basketball ACT
14th - Southern Tigers
16th - Sydney

Obviously some pitfalls with selection for VIC teams if the team who wins the Classic Gold Medal (Bulleen) misses out on a nomination.

Anyone know about the strength of teams in WA?

Great work anon277 but when you refer to the centrals girls as Kadina you are forgetting pt pirie, broken hill, gawler and nuriootpa !!!!
The SA girls teams are now pretty even with forrestville slightly ahead of centrals and sturt going on finals results and don't underestimate tigers on their home court!
Let's hope all the SA girls make the championship round certainly all good enough !
