NBL Dream Team is open

Fantasy @NBL basketball is back for season 2012/13! Sign up now for the official NBL Dream Team competition at http://dreamteam.nbl.com.au

Top ten players by starting cost:

Jackson - $191,300
Johnson - $180,200
Lisch - $166,100
Martin - $159,800
Deleon - $157,900
Abercrombie - $154,000
Tragardh - $151,200
Wilson - $151,000
Gibson - $146,900
Holmes - $145,200

From a quick look, and a warning that I haven't played NBL Dream Team for years so the stats might've changed, a few cheap ones worth gambling on could be:

Hinder - $41,900
Allen - $43,500
Steindl - $49,100
Creek - $65,400
Ballinger - $69,300

Any others?

Ballinger was $180K at the start of last year, so has to be classed as a bargain.

Based on his pre season form, Ben Allen is a steal, as is Hinder. Plenty of money to be made for upgrades in those two.

If Cadee is going to start, then everyone should be on him at $62k.

Tomlinson and Goulding I think could be very good investments as well.

Tigers are interesting - where is the scoring going to come from. Not sure it will be Ballinger but time will tell. Goulding is the bargain IMO

Cadee- a starting PG for 62k , done
Hinder- too is cheap.
Garlepp -IMO as well. will play lots of minutes and possible start at the Kings
Trueman- is a gamble but i think will log minutes and possible do much more if Knight goes down as he usually does.

Goulding is mostly a shooter and those rarely do well at Dream Team. Surely Kings would start Crosswhite and Lazare, who's had a good pre-season and is probably worth grabbing.

This is my first year with NBL DT, however I've been playing AFL DT for too many years to count so its nice that they're both hosted by Virtual Sports and set out almost identically.

I'm considering either of these guards;

WILSON, Jamar - $151,00
LISCH, Kevin - $166,100
JACKSON, Cedric - $191,300

I'm thinking maybe Wilson as he's likely to significantly improve this year, what do others think?

I'm most interested in team structures/trading strategies to maximise points for multi-game/bye rounds

Does anybody have a simple word or excel version of the 2012/13 fixture? I can view the fixture on the nbl site however a simple doc version makes it so much easier to plan your team/trades.

Jackson will hopefully be without the niggling ankle injury he dealt with pretty much all of last season and him and Wilson will both greatly benefit from having an NBL season under their belts already.

I'm confident that both Jackson + Wilson will have strong seasons, I leaning towards Wilson though as I don't think the extra 40k for Jackson is gonna be worth it to start with.

With Big Red Gary wiliknson gone, I'm guessing Pledger will be starting every game and should be set for a big year?
If so he's looking good value at $114k

Have made a picture to help with the byes but not sure how to post it up.

Have watched Goulding during the preseason, reckon he is a lock at his price.

Nate has been disappointing so far and didn't get as much game time as I thought he would.

Really like Foreman and Big Cam as the forwards.

Looking at the fixture Adel have a few early double headers, Melbourne the later ones. Really can't see anyone I like in Adelaide other than Cadee though.

Redhage, Foreman em Ballinger, Steindl
Tragardh (c), em Hinder
Martin, Wilson em Cadee Goulding
