The NCAA can be particularly tough on violations re recruiting etc. They can impose harsh penalties for infringements, including, loss of titles (from the time of the infringements), loss of scholarship recruiting, loss of television coverage. The most severe penalties have recently been imposed on Penn State with regards to their football program. Not to say that this will happen with St Mary's, but, the NCAA can be very severe.

Saint Mary's has got nothing to worry about.
Randy Bennett has always been by the book. This investigation is being pushed by fellow teams who can't get recruitment opportunites in Australia. Bennett has great contacts in Victoria and strong ties with AIS. I've been told Bennett and David Patrick have very strong connections with a few guys in melbourne who are very good judges of talent/recruitment.In the past they have been all over guys like Greenwood, Drmic, Pineau....well before anyone else. Good luck to them and whoever is helping them out.
