Friday night juniors results

With the new Summer season kicking off tonight, how did your team go? Who surprised you? Who let you down?

And how many phases are there?

Southern over Centrals in all Div 1 except Under 14 Boys.

Thanks for the insightful poat bballfan. Your dislike for Norwood is pretty childish, and it's getting old. It's the first round of summer season champ, nobody's squads are properly organised yet.

Not hard to work out who you are. Grow up.

18 girls should be a good close competition this season for most teams

West might be the dark horse for the U18 girls

I'm lead to believe that centrals had a good year last year and this year had an all star coaches line up and also recruited some players to make them a formidable club !!!!!!
Last night i'm hearing Tigers had a clean sweep in the ones (well almost)
Are the Tigers that good or are Centrals not so good??
Especially if the games were played at Starplex where all clubs are expected to play against 7 LOL :)

Centrals 16s apparently were close & they are mostly bottom age & Southern I think were top 2 years ago in 14s.

And I hear Southern will be top in 12 boys too so no disgrace in losing a close one there.

The Starplex refs don't favour Centrals.

Favouritism is stopping Centrals from being the club is should be

Sturt were top 2 years ago in the current U16 boys group and won a sweep in all grand finals.

Same would probably go for the current U12's.

But nice try.

West girls beat Forestville 18's but Forestville were missing one of their best players

Oh dear, a better player missing well that explains it then.

961 - Southern U16 girls are mostly bottom age as well, so Centrals can't use that excuse. They were also lucky to get that close as tigers went 16 of 33 from the stripe.

Forestville can never cop a loss without trotting out the 'good player missing' line..when they do lose its never graciously

Well fair to say that it might explain it.

The player that Forestville were missing was the higher average point scorer at U16 Nationals in Tamworth this year. Given they only lost by 3 points it's reasonable to suggest that she might have made a difference.

But the game is over now, and I for one am looking forward to seeing them play Sturt on Friday night.

West had a player from Nationals missing as well if you want to continue making excuses..never let it be said that the opposition could have played well...that certainly is beyond the capabilities of Eagles parents...every time you lose everyone knows an excuse is going to be peddled out..for once give some credit where its due..

Round 1 is always going to be tricky with players shaking off cobwebs, school camps etc.

Wait till maybe march and then will have a fair idea going into champs/classics. Thats when it counts, anything in between is a warm up.

Good luck to all clubs

The only thing funnier than Forestvilles excuses is the constant posting here by West U18 girls parents.

We had it last year with them going on about the U16s and how good they are.

From my recolection ths group has never won anything, even though they are a nice bunch of kids.

Unfortunately they have a bunch of ugly parents.

Lol - Don't judge all parents because of one 'ugly parent' You can't tell me that most teams don't have a parent they are not very proud of. Yes West 18 girls are pleased at the good result but are still humble knowing it is early days!

Paretns in that team have been coming on here for numerous years bleeting about how good they are. And how they are gonna knock of North, and how they are gonna win finals and how they are good be the best.

Gets quite boring and is obviously delusional as you can see from the above posts.
