Thought there was something not long ago (5 or 6 years?) when they went with the 36ERS being part of the logo that they were kinda distancing or giving up on the 'Sixers' term/reference.

Yeah, at one point they switched to Sixers (retaining the old logo above it) before returning to 36ers with the revised logo that is used now.
The trademark register has two current results for "Sixers", one being the Sydney Sixers, and three for "36ers", all the Adelaide basketball team.
There are older results for Adelaide Sixers or Super Sixers, but they have all lapsed in some way.

Dont let the ladder position fool you, this team isnt a real threat come playoff time under Clarke. He hasnt got a clue what he's doing. Im a very concerned fan, becuase im not in denial of what winning to scrappy games against a out of form Perth means.
