Kings Vs Breakers

Breakers have made it 11 wins in a row and 19/3 with an overtime win in Sydney.
Game should have never gone to overtime if the 3 refs paid any attention. A Lazare put back with a couple seconds to go in regulation off a missed Corin Henry freethrow should have clearly been disallowed as the freethrow never actually hit the rim. James Harvey hit a 3 to tie the game up with seconds left on the clock in OT and celebrated like he had won them the game before Jackson split the D and scored the game winner.

Lazare led all scorers with 25 points (10/13) and 11 rebounds 2 assists and a steal and fellow import Corin Henry added 22 points. Madgen had 17 and Harvey 16.

6 Breakers scored in double figures with Cedric Jackson again leading the way with 24 points 12 rebounds 7 assists 2 steals. Big Alex Pledger stepped up with 18 points (9/13) 5 rebounds and 1 assist 2 blocks.
CJ Bruton had an off night shooting only 1/7 from the field finishing with 3 points while Will Hudson got the starting job but was hampered by foul trouble and was the only Breaker to not score and had 2 rebounds and an assist in 11 minutes. Corey Webster continued his decent form coming off the bench for 11 minutes of action snagging 2 offensive rebounds a steal and 10 points.

While we got the win again, games like this proves that Perth and NZ are not sure things for the GF quite yet

Here's the highlights. Fast forward to about 2:08 mark to see the FT that never hit the rim, and therefor the follow up shouldn't have been allowed.

It's always more dramatic if it goes to OT!

Cheers Nat.
even Boucher has tweeted that it didn't touch the rim.

Corin Henry shot the lights out and Darnell Lazare had a dent dunk over Vukona and had the mid range jumper going. Those two pretty much kept Sydney in it not to mention they were missing Aaron Bruce. Corin Henry always seems to play well against the Breakers but Lazare was equally impressive.

THIS WAS AN AMAZING GAME!
refs were retarded though, darnell's 2 pointer in the last 3 seconds was insane, to be at the game and going for the kings, this was easily one of the best games of the season, despite the loss.
but the refs had some stupid calls though, there was a massive goaltend by the breakers, not even called by the refs, and a foul was called on Ben madgen for basically getting hit in the face.
im not being a sore loser, and saying " if the refs weren't gay, kings would have Won"
it could have gone either way, and there would have been crap calls to the breakers too.
but still, an amazing, exiting game, and the atmosphere was insane.
lazare was on a roll, and he should defiantly be a starter after this game.
can't wait for the next kings game.

"im not being a sore loser" yet indicating every play that Sydney was hard done by. Why did you not mention Henry's foul shot violation (unless it hit the ring which I very much doubt it did) which lazare got the rebound to send it into over time?

How come my favourite player Bruce didn't play? is he injured?

Apparently Aaron Bruce had a hand/wrist injury that happened in the week at training. Result may have gone the other way with him playing.

There's discussion "elsewhere" from people behind the basket that disagree with it missing, but I'm sure that there will be ongoing arguments on the topic... Either way, it was a great game to be at, the crowd was the best so far this season, noisy from the start and didn't need any encouragement...

I'm curious though, not detracting from the well earned victory, but the way they've been calling USFs this season, surely Corletto's two incredibly rough fouls would have been that nature?

How was CJ's head-butt on Harvey? No call of anything.
Stitches all round I think.
