Saturday's first Semi Final will see reigning WNBL MVP Suzy Batkovic and her in-form Adelaide Lightning host the Townsville Fire, inspired by WNBA imports Jessica Adair and Kayla Standish.

The winner of the 3rd v 4th playoff will advance to the Preliminary Final, while the season will come to an end for the losing team.

A capacity crowd is expected to fill the Bendigo Stadium on Sunday as Australian Opals legend Kristi Harrower welcomes Olympic bronze medal-winning teammates Jenna O’Hea and Kathleen Macleod, and their Dandenong Rangers for the second Semi Final.

The winner will advance to the WNBL Grand Final, while the losing team will host the victor of Adelaide v Townsville in the Preliminary Final.

Can't wait, It will be good to see a few entire games rather than the crappy 1 hour highlights package the ABC has been showing each week this season. Plus the fact all 4 teams in the finals this year are stacked with great players and matchups. Adelaide have been hot in recent weeks and should account for Townsville in the elim final and should give who ever loses the major final a real run for their money in the prelim.
Im still predicting a Dandy/Bendigo grand final, I just wish the granny was a best of 3, I think its about time the WNBL look at doing this in future seasons.

@The voice of Reason, Have you ever watched a game? Suzi will again win the league MVP and if she can hit the 3 point bomb, why not? She is in her 30's and is still an Awesome player, have some respect for the multiple Australian international opals Ledgend.

Probably a bit late now but the ABC have been replaying the full game early on a Wednesday morning (2am ish). Discovered it by fluke, a few weeks into the season. I understand the restrictions on Saturday afternoons but should they at least advertise it so people have a choice?? Thankfully we will see the whole of the finals at a more respectable time.

very even finals - townsville can beat adelaide and will be a good bet,

adelaide have cleaned up dandy and bendigo - so they can get it done and have hit form at the right end of the season.
