ABA-
Bulleen are the smokey for me. Great new look roster, need to gel though. If i was a betting man I think they would be worth the gamble
- Ringwood will be happy flying under the radar, which could make them extremely dangerous.

Corio seem way to confident. Can definitely see them having a great season, dropping only few games and then choking come post season.

D1M - Chelsea looking the goods in the early stage. Latrobe City extremely underated. Inconsistent last season, should have finished top2. Canovan into the line-up plus Perm coming back. Big smokey

Mildura with 2 imports makes them strong no matter what

Warrandyte would have the most pressure on them to win as they have probably had the best roster in D1M on paper the last 2 years but have been beaten in the first round of the play offs both years. Again they have arguably the best roster on paper and would have spent the most money so they would expect win.

Mckinnon, Chealsea, Latrobe City and maybe Mildura (depending on how there imports turn out) will be the biggest challengers.

Don't think Corio Bay too confident. DV gave them a great game only a week ago. The BigV only ones pumping up Stingrays chances. Ringwood to pull a surprise i'm tipping and Bulleen to be right in the mix with Waverley, Corio Bay and Diamond Valley.

In Div1 i like Geelong. A team that plays hard for each other with no superstars and always over looked.

Latrobe also have Mike Santo making a comeback! Fair back court with Mike, Canovan + Moss!

Eltham No change in SCW - don't think they even have enough players for a team. Lost a lot of players from last season!!! Husband/Wife combo not working or what made these players move on?

Reading into things too much re. eltham scw. Two young players over past two years were working towards having a go at seabl/wnbl. Club people were even helping them achieve their goal. Both were cleared with no ill feeling between club and players or vice versa. One player returned to seabl after living other side of town. One player has stepped away from basketball conpletely. Another player is studying, so no nothing to do with the coach. Keep in mind back to back champions, with different coaches. Many are looking for further opportunities/feel like they have accomplished all they can at this level.
They will still put a good team on the court though.

SCM - Corio Bay (Liam norton and Hicks makes them faves)

Anyone who even mentioned DV is kidding themselves they alwasy start ok then the ego's in the way and self interest becomes more important...

SCW - Hume (Dark horse if Hibbert & Milner play!)

D1M - Warrandyte (Spend plenty of cash)
Only danager is Mildura as they have red hot imports but might lack depth...that said on any given night imports could go off for 40+

D2M - Shep (Good recruits solid base should give it a shake!)

SCM- Corio Bay - Eltham will be close
D1M- Warrandyte (Need to win or the coach may be in trouble) - Mildura wont make finals - Southern Penn a real chance.
D2M- The cougers by plenty - Shepp are the smokey.

Sorry but dont know enough about the women to comment.

Who have Eltham SCW recruited if they are going to be stronger than last year?? Eltham SCW and SCM are both in serious trouble IMO.

Mildura had 2 wins against Central Districts from Adelaide on the weekend. From what I heard there imports were pretty impressive.

Yes they were very good, I was with Centrals, we beat Mildura last year by 20 in both games but they have a new look team not as big but are faster and a couple less idiots on the team this year.

Mildura = Bloody hot + bloody nice people + lots of bloody beer and a bloody good team this year.(They say bloody alot up there)
