Breakers vs Tigers, Mar 14

Big blowout and huge 40 minute score from the Breakers after Melbourne started reasonably well.

114-84 to the Breakers.

Scores were reasonably close until a few minutes before halftime.

Abercrombie 24, Webster 23, Pledger 22.
Goulding 22, Walker 14, Scott 12.

No Flynn for the Tigers who are out of the four and have another road game this round. Vukona was injured early and didn't return. Scott only played 18 minutes, presumably due to injury concerns.

Dev player TeRangi had a dream night going 4/4 FG for 13/3/1.

Melbourne and Cairns are now level on 10-15 with the Crocs 9-16. Hawks and Kings have a narrow edge, both being 11-15.

With a win later this round, the Crocs could draw level with the Tigers on 10-16 which is fairly remarkable considering Townsville started so badly and Melbourne were in third not too long ago.

We're starting to see daylight between Breakers and Wildcats, like there is between Wildcats and the rest of the league. Not even Bevo's D can stop that sort of offence.
