Jay Z is doing this to give ROCNATION some media attention.

Certainly not doing it for the money because her contract would be peanuts, meaning his cut would be mini-peanuts.

Expecting Jay-Z to become a major sports agent in the next few years.

Many sports stars would be drawn to him. Can't blame them.

He's a business man first and foremost. It's all about appearances. When he does deals to do something with say Coca Cola he gets them to spend the money he would get paid on buying his newest album.
