Big V - Who will win SCM?

Can anyone match Bulleen's fire power?

Corio Bay could but seem to be lacking soemthing.

What are peoples thoughts?

If Corio don't play Bulleen in the final then both teams have failed, dismally...

Having said that, Don't discount Ringwood, best coach in the league and players that play for the team through thick and thin.

Neither team is lacking much really...

Both have clutch players and great depth, maybe an injury to a key player will determine the result, hope not, otherwise would be an awesome final IMO.

Any team on any given day can beat each other in the top 4. DV to miss out.

Will be interesting to see Bulleen back it up 1 game after another to really test out their depth.

Falcons, Stingrays, Hawks or Boomers can win it.

Yeah, noticed the name Ben Simmons on the Bulleen roster, first game dropped 11 points, 2 assists and 3 blocks with 4 boards, handy player I would think coming into second half of the season.

Once he warms into it, very handy in deed...

Is there enough games left for Ben to qualify for finals?

What exactly needs to change for them to be ready?

Looking forward to seeing Ben Simmons in action in a couple weeks when Bulleen take on Stingrays at home. Stingrays will be looking for revenge after losing in double OT on the road when they last met.

This game will be pumped up at CB for sure especially after losing in double OT last time these 2 teams met.

Stingrays are undefeated at home this season and has become a fortress for opposition teams. Hopefully they can continue that when Bulleen comes to town.

I think Corio Bays chances of a title rests on Maalo Hicks as much as anyone. He is IMO the most talented 4/5 in the league, and when he brings it, Corio are right there at title level.

The stand is usually filled. It will be the standing area/bar area on court 2 that will get real busy. The crowd is 300-400 plus during most games. This could and should beat previous crowds by a lot.

Bulleen heavy favs with Ringwood next I would suggest. Ringwood smoked Stingrays only 3 weeks ago. Stingrays the only possible other winner apart from above mentioned teams. If Hicks can stay out of foul trouble and stay on floor a real chance. Bulleen starting 5 by far the best in the comp.

DV and Falcons only making up numbers now. Falcons in a slump and DV just missing something, have scorers but no real defensive stopper to match the big 3.

Will the Geelong Agoniser (sorry Advertiser) promote it like it could, or will we continue to see 15-20 pages of football (from AFL down to local under 12's)...?

Would love to see some more media coverage of basketball in local news papers, not so much in quantity but the quality and way it is promoted too.

Even SEABL gets a raw deal at times, expecially when the Supercats play away...

Agree with the quality of the GA. This is a reason why the Stingrays club rely heavily on word of mouth and social media. Just checked then and they are nearly up to 800 likes. Hopefully the word NBA connected with Ben Simmons helps attract new faces to watching local hoops. Plenty of NBA fans out there. Facebook has been going crazy with playoffs statuses etc.

The game itself deserves a great crowd and would be fantastic for not only the 2 clubs playing but basketball itself.
