He is listed at #1 - a lot can change between now and then. For starters, he could still go in the 2014 draft.

Agree, there is a lot of time between now and then.
Then of course, there is no guarantee that the team with the number one pick will be after a guard (teams still draft based on positional requirements)

If they choose to blow all their money so be it, again they then have to live life like the rest of us. There are some smart ones who manage their money well even after a short career, but not many.

Either way, why not enter the NBA if you'll be in the top 10, too much guaranteed money to turn down.
