Who is Kelly Ollyanak? Amusingly Gaze always has such difficulty with pronouncing players. I assume he meant kelly olynyk

Agreed @ cats 4 life, the Breakers would fear the Wildcats this far out from the game. Wildcats are no way in good form (with the exception of Ennis and Jervis) and hopefully they play the game before it starts and Perth can get a few more players into form as we win again.

Ayinde Ubaka looks terribly rusty and you'd wonder with hindsight if Melbourne would sign him so quick if they knew Goulding would return. Bubbles will improve but will Chewy?

Great and exciting first quarter and sad second half but at least it was close... And hopefully the scoring so far this year continues

Not sure how the cats have won the first three games. They are playing the most ordinary defense i have seen from a wildcats team and turning the ball over way too easily at crucial times. Fortunately ennis and redhage are making their shots and jervis is serving us well. Good signs with composure down the stretch in tight games. Suppose its a positive that there is a lot more room for improvement when knight returns and hopefully beal finds his groove. But not sure what kind of structures gleeson has implemented they are lacking intensity on the defensive end and not much movement in forward plays. Too much individual stuff

Redhage ain't exactly chopped liver either.

Referees had a 2012/13 throwback session. Which from all reports they did last weekend as well. Is Anstey and the Tigers putting pressure on them to retain the old interpretations at the Cage?

Ayinde Ubaka looks terrible. Has he not picked up a ball since he was out here last or what?

Poor shooting especially in the second half made it a scrappy game to watch. Happy with our frontcourt so far but need alot more from Beal (6 for 34) in first three games. Looking forward to NZ game will be a massive test I would expect them to bounce back after disappointing QLD trip. Jervis for rookie of the year?

"Wildcats are no way in good form (with the exception of Ennis and Jervis)"

Redhage 3rd in the league in scoring.
Martin 1st in assists and steals.
Wagstaff shooting 43% on threes.

Yep, those other guys are really stinking it up! When your three frontcourt stars make 20/44 from long range youre going to win more than you lose.

Jervis and knight will be a hard combo to guard, been impressed by his work ethic. Even beal, burdon and u'u will get better! 3 and 0 great start and if they can split this w/end done well considering the travel and 4 games in 10 days.

The 4 games in 10 days thing really shouldn't be an issue. Maybe the fourth game if anything. Basketball isn't exactly a physical enough game to warrant a week between games like the different codes of football are, and these guys are trained athletes.

And although they're 3-0, I wouldn't be too rapped with what they've done so far.

Its more the travel and time differnce rather than the game, that's what i was trying to say.

@Statsheet Stuffer,

I'm pretty rapt with what we've done so far. From an on court and off course perspective, there's not much more we could have done.

By the by, weren't you tipping us to miss the Top 4 during pre-season?

I'm more than pleased so far, especially as there is plenty of improvement to be made. To win while playing "poorly" is a good thing.

Also very happy to be 3-0 right now considering we are not in top form still hoping to see more from Beal,u'u and Burdon. Will only get better with Matty knight due back soon.

Nathan, that was before Ennis came along. And before Dennis and Greer went down. You guys were always going to be top two or three after that.

Admittedly, I didn't think Redhage would be near as good as he is either.

Anstey tweeting about Redhage and flopping would've motivated him. Dumb move, coach.

Also the score was right on the money line again. Hmmm it was so obvious this round.

Agreed yet funny how the bookies no matter if it is the new defensive rules or the old are setting the line so well for each game.
