This is an Australian Basketball Forum. I am sorry if it concerns you but the reality is that a number of the posts you will see will concern the performances/injuries/updates of any of the few Australians playing at the elite NBA level whether it be pre-season, regular season or playoffs.

If you are not interested don't read these posts otherwise get used to it!

Niño, I am interested, but wouldn't consider going to NBA.com daily just on the off chance an Aussie had a particularly good stat line.

I, like many casual fans I expect, rely on HoopsSA to keep me in the know. It rarely lets me down, and I skip over the threads/posts that don't interest me.

I think it's more the fact there's a thread anytime Patty farts. If the posts where limited to good games then awesome, but there's one anytime he hits the court. I don't think people need an update on his regular season game where he gets on for 5 minutes. Also the fact there's threads constantly about how he is getting screwed over or needs more minutes or should play elsewhere, just one thread for the season should suffice.
I don't think there are anywhere near as many people giving shit to the delly threads because people are far more interested in his progress at the moment and if he gets any time on court over 5 minutes it's a genuine big deal to an extent.

Hilariously, all the rage is over exactly how much credit these guys should get for what they're doing. Can't ignore them or talk about them too much or someone complains.

I do usually, I don't comment on them. I just have a look to see if its worth anything, but people have made comments as to why people write negative comments so I've given an opinion as to why (and a pretty valid one as it's what others have said in past). I just get why people are over the constant threads for Mills in particular. It's not like there's a bogut thread anytime he hits the court, if there was then I'm sure there would be people talking shit on those threads too

Bogut's in a team and secure though. These other two have been trying to make it or lock in their spot so something above the ordinary for them is a reasonable performance or good feedback from a coach. And there are still Bogut threads when he excels.

Yes, there are more than enough Delly/Mills threads, but they're easy to skip.

Most Aussies like an under dog, that's what these guys are. Bogut isn't and we expect good things from him all the time.

If people don't like a thread, don't read it and don't post a comment. Simple as that.

Guess my general point is there is more than enough threads. I wish these guys all the very best, both very good players to watch... and I hope they have long successful careers. Its just a bit much sometimes.

Personally I love the fact that people here keep track of Patty, Delly & others, and post it up for the rest of us to access so easily.
At the same time, I would have thought that maybe one running thread for each player would make a lot more sense to keep track of everything they're doing in the preseason.
