Yup Gary Wilkinson it is, great news. Loved his energy.

All will become clear when the Breakers make their announcement today, but it's understood that there may have to be further roster moves to fit Wilkinson back in under the league's tight points cap.

A shame for Trueman, but hopefully he will be paid out what's owing. Great to have Wilkinson back in the league if true, the more stars the better.

Bit tough for Trueman, likely going from useful in a strong team at Perth, to potentially not playing NBL again (unless the Breakers restructure their team next year).

Is he realy worth cutting to player's for? Intresting move, is gona be a starter? If there gona cut the development of a few of there starters to find him the minutes? May be the coach aint working?

Trueman was playing 5-6 MPG, including 1:28 against Perth (a team you'd think he'd have some inside advantage against). Guess they think it's better to arrest the slide early and fully rather than make a half-attempt with trying for a 9-point player only.

If Salt/etc come through, Trueman might be expendable in a year or so anyway?

Wilkinson is an All-First Team player, he's worth the move IMO.

Anonymous- Breakers have a no dick heads policy so that would suggest that if they have brought Wilkinson back again and again that the players love him and the management love him. Doesn't matter what other teams may or may not think of him.

The release has Trueman on waivers, so being paid to train, basically. Vickerman notes it's his hardest decision of his coaching career. Hah.

Situations like this are why I don't like the points cap. Always the fringe guys who get screwed over!

Wilkinson will play on the bench behind Vukona & Pledger.
Pledger has played great & Vukona has done what he's always done so can't see either of them having their minutes greatly reduced with Wilkinsons arrival.

I'm going to say something for the first time... Seeing how roughly Trueman was treated: maybe it's time for that second NZ team.

Truman treated roughly? Getting paid regardless of playing is rough? Wish I had a rough deal where I didn't have to do my job, just practice it and get paid the same regardless.

This is pro sports not a charity. It's about Wins & Losses and filling stadiums.

Corletto had his spot taken by Mills during the lockout. The issue was a guy who had played pretty much his whole life with the one club was replaced with a guy who potentially could only be there for a matter of weeks. Corletto went to NZ won 2 titles and Mills chased more $ in China. Loss Loss for the Tigers.

Truman had his spot taken by the points cap and has not been replaced at this stage.

You could argue that he has been replaced by Gary Wilkinson.
Wilkinson will make more of an impact on the court than Truman or Lazare combined.

Would you have rather cut one of the newest additions to the team and a guy who is only going to play between 1.30-5.00 minutes a game and is only a role player/glue guy type of player or...

Tough decision but changes had to be made if they want to win games.
