Explains why Clarke won. He and the hawks both surged home in final 6 rounds. Ogilvy got off to a good start and as the kings season derailed so did his votes/confidence.

So the best player in the league...
With the best stats in the league...
On the top team in the league...
Also the best defender of the contenders...

Comes 3rd in the MVP...

Typical NBL!

It's Most Valuable Player, not Best Player.

what is the difference in voting for MVP and best player?

Dont the judges allocate votes to the best players in each game regardless if the award is for MVP or best player?

How is the voting done?
One rep from each team's coaches and they allocate 10 votes for the opposition team. Is that much correct?.
How do they allocate and how does that work exactly?

I believe allocation is at their discretion? e.g., they can go 10 to one person, or 5 and 5 or 6, 3 and 1. Might be wrong though.

I'm not sure which games you were watching if you think Ennis is a good defender.

Well he did come 2nd in steals and pulls in plenty of rebounds. Sometimes he does lose his way a bit on defence and hustling, but is overall pretty solid.

Well that confirms it: the NBL is rigged/racist/anti-Perth. Take your pick. How else could Ennis have finished 3rd?

6 votes separating Clarke and Goulding is amazingly close.

I think its maximum of 5 votes to any player, Isaac. When I said yesterday that Clarke got 23 votes in three games (from two coaches) I was basing that on it being a maximum of 30 votes, which would probably make sense considering how well he played in that period.

Hey hardballs, out of Ennis, Goulding, Clarke and DJ, who's the best defensive player? On their own man and help d prescence.
