ECF series: Heat vs Pacers

Some great battle between these teams during the regular season, but Indiana has been less than impressive in the play-offs while Miami have largely coasted.

Udonis Haslem played only three minutes in five games against the Nets, but there's a bit of talk about him regaining his starting role to work against Hibbert and West.

Hopefully Indiana can get their act together and make it a quality series.

Every ESPN pundit has tipped the Heat, most in 6 games. Anyone brave enough to tip the Pacers?

Pacers are a complete mess, very disappointing.

Heat 4-1, perhaps 4-2 if Hibbert suddenly becomes capable of putting forward two or more legitimately good games in a series.

I couldn't call this one either way until I see which Pacers are going to show up in game 1.

Hard to bet on the Pacers, but this Heat team might be the weakest of the last three seasons.

Unfortunately Mark Jackson has joined ESPN again and will be doing the ECF & NBA Finals with Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy.

Heat's over confidence and the fact that the Pacers appear a basket case and may be taken lightly could result in a surprise or two, however Le Bron and his crew have unfinished business and getting to another final is driving them with intensity.

Can't see Pacers being consistent enough to win 4 games before the Heat do in this one...

Go Pacers!

Solid start for Pacers! Looks like a friendly hometown foul count got them over the line? (Haven't seen game) Still need to retain their homecourt by winning game 2 but if they can do that they might have a shot! Having game 7 @ home could end up being critical.

Key matchup: West v random scrub PF. Can West consistently hurt whoever the Heat puts on him throughout the series?

I think it was a matter of bad D by the Heat and massive shooting night by Pacers.

First time in a while i've seen a team go big and stay big and play bully ball the right way.

Great win.

Yeah good call, Mick. Smashball is probably back and I wouldn't be surprised if they become the October/November type Pacers from now on.

The last time Hibbert shot double digit free throws was January btw. Massive offensive factor this series

The Heat D just wasn't there today. Hence the foul differential, with the Pacers attacking the rim.

Heat will bounce back, but probably the worst start the Heat could have hoped for, with Indy perhaps finding some mojo again. If Miami tore up game one, took the Road win, the series could have been quick.

Miami looked old in their rotations today, with too many players trying to take short cuts. Spoelstra summed it up in a timeout, they weren't playing their defence, and were giving up whatever the Pacers wanted.

The Pacers had West and/or Scola on Lebron and/or Ray Allen for significant stretches and they just didn't make them pay at all.

What an amazing flop from Lance Stephenson. He even had the presence of mind to wait for the call before committing to 'playing dead'.

Great stuff.
