Second Melbourne Team

So an article's kicking around this morning talking about progress on a second melbourne team based in the South East... the day after the Tigers have been killed and rebranded as a team serving... the South East.

I know United isn't specifically aiming for that area on paper, but really, all the talk about Tigers Juniors and poor Anstey not being able to explain his Magic jersey to his kids (like that's a valid reason) points directly towards the South and Eastern markets.

This just leaves Tigers supporters (particularly those from the north & west) even further out in the cold.

This probably gives an insight into what Slepoy and Kestleman's motivations are and why they are acting now.

These developments come as it emerged the Tigers' new name of United could have been adopted by the second Melbourne team that failed in its bid to join the league in 2012. This working group included now Tigers’ chief executive Vince Crivelli.

That club would have been linked with NBA club Seattle Supersonics, had the Sonics, then out of the NBA since 2008, rejoined the world’s premier league, and funding for the Melbourne side from software conglomerate Microsoft come to fruition.

Neill’s bold plans involve a rapid expansion of the eight-team league, with a reformed club in Brisbane also a priority. The NBL is also keen to reintroduce a club in Tasmania.

The whole Microsoft thing was pie in the sky money. Never was around. Balmer and Gordon are being sued as we speak in the states.
Lets hope the second Melbourne team are not those people that just about crippled our great association.

People are often called sheep, they follow the flock and go about their business blissfully unaware of what is happening around them until the sheep dog snaps at their heels and sparks them into action.

They accept change without question and believe their leader is always right, no matter what is presented to them.

Then there are those who we refer to as wolves, they sometimes work alone but usually form small packs and prey on the weak and vulnerable, or in our case the gullible sheep minded ones out there.

They will devour those sheep, one by one, until they are happy and content, at the same time always looking for something or someone else to prey on...

What we need is a Bison, the strong silent type who will stand up to the wolves, protect the herd and make an impact when and where needed.

These are the real leaders among us, those who will inspire others to lead, by example, not to fear the wolves hiding among us.

Which one are you BOB911?

Balmer and Gordon sued? why?

So Sleepoy & Kestermann decide to kill a rival team by becoming for all of Melbourne but all it does is get the old Tigers crew motivated to ressurect the brand once agian. So effectively these Dodo guys have switched franchises around using the other party's licence.

If Tigers do return they will be using a new licence but United will be on the old Tigers one. Confusing... NBL gotta love it aye
