Basketball - State of Origin

Given the NRL state of origin game and the VFL Vs SANFL game on the weekend has me thinking who would win a hypothetical State of Origin Basketball game.

At the junior ranks VIC and NSW teams dominate, but our players at the top level are all of the country with Ingles and Newly from SA, Patty Mills from ACT, Jawai, Baynes, Motum from QLD, etc.

So who would be everyone's best state of origin team? And who would win?

An IP check from Isaac would prove you wrong there.

Obviously you are just a casual supporter with no real understanding of the game. If you REALLY look at that team it is nowhere near the level of some of the other states.

But hey, it's never going to happen, so you're welcome to your opinion, no matter how naïve.

We're naming teams, I don't think anyone writing up an SA team is claiming it would win.

One thing going for the SA team is that the majority would be in their prime or around it. All very similar age bracket. Still, missing a devastating big.

Mills is listed as being born in Canberra on Wikipedia, though his mother is from SA and that might be what you're thinking of anon?

Would be ok at NBL level but would be in trouble when the overseas players returned for other states. I think I am still going strong enough to take a spot on the bench.
