NZ's Rob Loe to play NBA Summer League for GSW.

After 4 decent years at St Louis NZ's Rob Loe is hoping to get a shot at an NBA roster in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas and is also expected to make the Tall Blacks squad for Spain.
Reports in the States suggest he is one of 9 players signed to play in the NBA Summer League for the Steve Kerr coached Golden State Warriors.

Unlikely he will pick up a spot but good luck to him.

Reports are he'll likely play in Europe if he doesn't get an NBA spot. If he does come to the NBL though, it'll be for the Breakers.

And it isn't as if he is without a shot. He played some great basketball in the NCAA tournament last season and can hopefully carry that form on.

He's big and very mobile with a great work ethic and can step out and shoot the 3 at a decent clip so the best of luck to him.
If that fails I hope he comes and plays a couple of seasons here in NZ for the Breakers before heading off to take on Europe.

That 22 pt 15 r performance against NC state in the NCAA tournament would have turned some heads.

Born in UK so id imagine he would be able to get a gig in Europe somewhere.

I think the style that St Louis plays really doesn't allow players to shine. You look at some of the great players that have come through that system and they didn't put up numbers that would take your breath away.

From memory Lisch, Conklin, Loe, Ellis all averaged between 10-13/14ppg. And Christian Salechich (don't know where he is) left the program after.putting up quiet numbers.
