Confused play at FIBA U17 championship

Saw this earlier today. For those too lazy to watch, one team gets a defensive rebound and then their player scores at the wrong basket. The opposing team then inbounds and proceeds to take it down the other (again wrong) end to attempt to score.

Hard to make out the clocks - was a backcourt violation called or was it the end of a quarter?

Looks like the score bench picked up on the error and blew for time out. Wouldn't be back court violation as the wrong team inbounded the ball. If anything, 5 second violation for the blue team not in bounding the ball. Points count regardless.

You see this at u10s not at u17 world champs. Pretty funny clip.

Surely the clock goes back to 4.6 and blue inbounds the pass.white shouldn't be allowed to inbound it.

basket counts to capt of white team - purple inbound. Time is put back on clock at discretion of ref / game admin.

this happened about 1 week ago.

bench noticed the error (hence the buzzing) as one coach approaches the bench correctly to stop the game

Man, what do you say as a coach to the poor girl (No.4 for the Czech team), she was obviously not quite focusing on what was happening.

Have seen this in under 10's, but not so much at this level...

Would be an interesting time out discussion I would imagine!

Just like an accidental tip-in by the defense, I expect the goal would count.

It's clearly the end of the quarter and the clock goes straight into counting down the two minute quarter break.

Allegedly the FIBA rules have been adjusted and an intentional FG attempt in your own basket is a violation. So in this case 'white' would have possession from the side with 4.6 seconds left.
