Full Time - Hawks defeat the Brian Goorfian coached Dongguan Leopards 91-62 at the Snakepit.

Jahii Carson had 23 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

Oscar Forman had 18, Dave Gruber had a Dave Gruberesque 17 & 11.

Gary Ervin had 15 points and 3 assists. Fellow returning Hawk Adam Ballinger had 13 rebounds and 8 points.

Tim Coenraad had a quiet shooting night (2 points) but filled the stat sheet with 8 assists and 7 rebounds.

Hawks looked the goods tonight ... rebounding was on the money, ballingers' 13 rebounds bodes well.

Carson and Ervin looked to gel well together, both didn't play a lot of minutes so their stats are pretty even more impressive.

Dongguan Leopards were the third best in the CBA last season with a 25 - 9 record. They were without two starting imports Bobby Brown and Dante Green for this game, who averaged 50 points between them at 50% from the field.

It's really good that teams are doing this sort of thing to give fans a look when they might not have been able to get there... Boxscores are all well and good (when you can convince the team to put them up!) but nothing beats a good highlight clip, even if it's mainly got a good framing of the crowd ;)
